FREE GIVEAWAY! Almond Breeze Almond Milk

Through Kiwi Magazine's Blogger Mom Ambassador program I got involved in yet ANOTHER fun free stuff giveaway!  This one is from Almond Breeze Almond milk.  I went to a webinar to learn more about not only the company, but also the process by which the make their shelf-stable packaging.  I really didn't know too much about almonds, but I learned that Almond Breeze almonds are all grown in the USA, California to be exact.  They are a family-based company that has been in the almond-growing business for generations.  Here's the best thing I learned...they harvest the almonds by using a machine that grabs the trunk of the almond tree, shakes it, and the nuts fall off!  I thought this was hilarious!  I guess I just expected a little less, smash-and-grab!  ANYWAY, Almond Breeze sent me two samples of their new Almond-Coconut milk to try, as well as coupons for their shelf-stable boxes of almond milk.
I always buy the refrigerated cartons, so I was excited to try to shelf-stable version...it tastes pretty much the same.
I also got a recipe book and a smoothie recipe book.  We tried one of the smoothies last night for dessert, it didn't go over well with the kids.  I think they're too accustomed to our breakfast smoothies that this just tasted too unfamiliar.  I did use the almond-coconut milk for them on their cereal and when I needed milk to cook as well as in the breakfast smoothie and it went over really well.  We drank almond milk exclusively for awhile, so it wasn't anything new for them.  I really like it on cereal, it just gives it a slightly sweeter flavor.

As I was typing, I saw that I got an email from Mom's Meet and it just happened to have a link to 5 Fun Ways to Use Blue Diamond Almond Milk so I'll link that for you too.

I have three coupons for free, shelf-stable Blue Diamond Almond Milk boxes that they sent for me to give away on my blog.  If you're an almond milk drinker, interested in trying almond milk, or are just looking for a great way to have an extra milk stored in the cupboard for those times when you run out of dairy or another non-dairy milk, post a comment.  Just like the last time I ran a giveaway, I'll put all the names in a hat and pull out 3.

As for the pictures, I remembered when I had 5 empty glasses that I wanted to take a picture of the smoothie I made, so I decided to just showcase the shelf-stable box of Chocolate almond milk that I bought for the kids to drink...which will probably only last a day, if I lucky!
